Donations

Avon Band and Orchestra Boosters (ABOB) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the more than 400 students in the music program in Avon Local Schools. Below list is an example of how ABOB funds are used:

• Pay for coaches and clinics for individualized instruction to students on a variety of percussion, string, brass, and woodwind instruments.

• Purchase new musical instruments, audio equipment, and student uniforms.

• Repair instruments and equipment.

• Help offset costs of trips

• Paying for Entry Fees to Competitions: OMEA & ESSCLC soloist & groups AMS & AHS, Honors Orchestra and Band (AMS)

• Clinician fees for Jazz Band and Orchestra, along with others as requested.

• Professional Musicians Fees for special performances.

• Scholarships:

  1. ABOB offers scholarships to middle school students for use toward student's choice of summer music camps. ($3,000 total) 

  2. ABOB also offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors ($5,000 total)
