About Us
The Avon Band & Orchestra Boosters (ABOB) was established in 1995 with the purpose to support the Directors, Advisors and Assistants of Avon School District’s Band and Orchestra music programs in grades 6-12 to promote creative musical activity among the students.
The ABOB manages fund raising and volunteer work to support the Avon School District music program.

ABOB Provides these Benefits to Programs
Purchasing new instruments which recently includes:
Contrabassoon, Bass Trombone, 2 Tenor Saxophones, Drum Set, Portion of a Grand Piano, Marching band tuba (1/2 shared with ABOE), 2 Vipers for AEO
Commissioning work for all programs. (Having music pieces written specifically for our programs)
Planning Trips / Logistics
Building props
Scholarships:
ABOB offers scholarships to middle school students for use toward student's choice of summer music camps.
ABOB also offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors
Assist with reducing trip costs when possible

Jazz Band trip to Capital University (2017-2019)
8th Grade trip to Cedar Point (2019)
Symphony Orchestra trip to Carengie Hall (2020)

Purchasing Event T-shirts
Paying for Entry Fees to Competitions: OMEA & ESSCLC solosit & groups AMS & AHS, Honors Orchestra and Band (AMS)
Clinician fees for Jazz Band and Orchestra, along with others as requested.
Professional Musicians Fees for special performances
Helping to transport (load and unload) Marching Band & Color Guard props / equipment to away games and competitions from trucks and trailers.
