Eagle Big Band (Jazz Ensemble A) 

The 23-24 edition of the Big Band has a wind section of 5 trumpets, 5 trombones (including bass trombone) and 5 saxophones (2 alto, 2 tenor and 1 baritone). The rhythm section has guitar, piano, bass and drum set/auxillary percussion. This is slightly larger (one extra trumpet and one extra trombone) than a standard big band. That's what happens when you have so many talented kids! This will give us an opportunity to play music by arrangers that wrote for "extended" ensembles Stan Kenton and Gil Evans. We are excited to have a student executive board this year. This provides an opportunity for greater student input into concert selections, social events and social media posts! Most of the members of this group are also part of the marching band. All of them are in the band and orchestra programs. These kids are DEDICATED to their craft and they represent the best musicians in our programs.
