2024-2025 Committee Chairs

Volunteer Coordinator: OPEN

Will work with the directors to obtain contact information for each student and family in grades 6-12. Responsible for ensuring that the committee chairpersons have an adequate number of volunteers to perform the duties of their committees. This may be accomplished with the use of sign-up genius and/or any other method necessary to accomplish the task. The volunteer coordinator will work with the committee chairpersons to understand their needs so that they may provide/coordinate the volunteers needed. 

Event Donations Coordinator: Cathy Fonk

Solicits and collects donations from local businesses to be used to create baskets to be raffled at Fundraising Events. 

Organizes the donations and determines the event they will be used for.  The chair of each event will manage the creation of the raffle baskets.

Provides proof of advertising to donors, and thank you cards, after each event.

Concession Stand Committee Chair: Sara Morgan, Ashley Davis

Collaborates with the Volunteer Coordinator and runs the concession stand for all home varsity football games and is responsible for coordinating with the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer for  cash . Sub-committees include: 

Concession Stand (Home Freshman-Middle School Football Games): Coordinates volunteers and runs concession stand for all home freshman/middle school football games.  Also is responsible for all cash made during games.

Concession Stand (Home JV football Games):  coordinate volunteers and runs concession stand for all home JV football games.  Also is responsible for all cash made during games.

Concession Stand (Home Spring track meets):  Coordinates volunteers and runs concession stand for all home Track meets.  Also is responsible for all cash made during games.

Band Camp (Marching Band, July before school year starts): Veronika Sikora, Renee White, Jess Miller

Coordinates chaperones, coordinates or delegates someone to handle all band camp paperwork including physical forms, emergency medical forms and band camp rules. Coordinates cabin assignments, assigns student hoppers for meals, and purchases any other miscellaneous items/snacks, needed for band camp.

Jingle Mingle: Heidi Carrion

Coordinates volunteers and organizes all details of this fundraiser.  Works with Directors to obtain schedule of performances. 


Musical Mosaic: Sara Belsar, Julie Zimmer

Coordinates volunteers and organizes all details of this fundraiser.  Works with Directors to obtain schedule of performances. 


Fundraisers: Cathy Fonk, Sara Keating, Nikki Dertouzos

Coordinates fundraising for grades 6-12.  Volunteers coordinate sale dates with companies offering products, check totals for items sold and money collected.  Also responsible for obtaining all payments and distributing product to students/parents. 

District Wide Band Festival / Special Concert Performances: OPEN

Coordinates volunteers, organizes or purchases items, etc. for the fundraiser to be determined by the Band Director. 

Band Banquet: Brenda Barnhart, Katie Grzelak

Coordinates volunteers and organizes all details for the Band Banquet to be held in May, to celebrate the accomplishments of the Avon Mighty Eagle Marching Band and the indoor concert bands. 

Orchestra Banquet: OPEN

Coordinates volunteers and organizes all details for the Orchestra Banquet, to be held in May, to celebrate the accomplishments of the high school orchestras. 

Photographer Coordinator: OPEN

Helps coordinate photography for Marching Band and Orchestra pictures. Also coordinates senior photos for Fall Athletic Program and coordinates ordering of senior banners. Provides photos for yearbook. Optional: Provides picture boards and/or photos for website. 

Tunes on YOUR Turf:  Sara Belser, Julie Zimmer, Julie Cortino

Coordinates promotion and collecting entries for a raffle to have students perform at the winners house.  

Webmaster: Julie Zimmer

responsible for updating website (includes updating calendar, adding photos, forms, etc.) 

Senior Banners: Heather Arkley

Marching Band Apparel: OPEN

Coordinates volunteers and orders for Marching Band and Color Guard apparel. Works closely with vendors and Marching Band director. Includes but not limited to ordering Marching Band and Color Guard t-shirts, shoes, duffel bags etc. Also helps with fittings as needed.  Julie Cecil will be the chair for this position.

3rd Quarter Snack for Marching Band Home Games: Rita Chaccour, Wendy White

Coordinates volunteers, purchases items and distributes snacks and drinks for both home and visitor marching bands at all varsity home football games including play-off games if applicable. Individual will also need to obtain the number of band members of each visiting band to coordinate number of snacks and beverages needed. 

Marching Band Meals: Heidi Carrion, Renee White, Miriam Rizk, Sara Belsar, Traci Warner

Coordinates volunteers and places orders for Marching Band Meals before away football games and competition shows. Works closely with food vendors and Marching Band director. Includes but not limited to ordering food, picking up food and/or scheduling delivery, getting plates and utensils for students and organizing volunteers. Heidi Carrion will be the chair for this position.

Indy Trip/Bands of America (Marching Band): Brad Brodie

Coordinates BOA Nationals/Indy Trip for Marching Band. Coordinates chaperones, books hotel, arranges transportation, organizes all meals, orders/pays for all tickets, lodging, etc. Responsible for obtaining all forms for trip and coordinates itinerary with Marching Band Director. 

Towing Trailer: Craig Warner/Traci Warner, Mike Beatty/Teri Beatty

Ship Build/Props Committee: Mike Beatty, Jay White, 

Uniforms (Marching Band): Nona Kwasny, Karen Hallowell

Coordinates volunteers and organizes marching band uniform fittings (excludes Color Guard) and orders new items such as shoes, gloves, etc.  Also includes fitting students with indoor band uniforms (where applicable) Also makes arrangements for the pick-up and drop-off of uniforms with the dry cleaner and seeing to any necessary repairs.  Works closely with the Band Director. 

PAC Sponsorship: Katie Bevan

Ordering and Distributing Band & Colorguard Apparel: Julie Cecil

Nominating Committee: OPEN & OPEN

Group of at least 2 people who are not on the current Board or is being nominated for the new board that can manage receiving nominations, creating ballots, and counting ballots on voting day. A very important job for people who don't want to commit a lot of time during the year and help behind the scenes. Nominations are collected in March- April, and voting is in the May general membership meeting.
