Volunteer

Avon Band & Orchestra Boosters runs many fundraising activities during the year to raise money for our music programs. We always need more volunteers to help! If you are interested in helping, please contact us at  abob@avoneagles.org   

If you can't volunteer your time, please consider making a donation. 

Concession Stand  

(All Home Freshman, JV and Varsity Games)

• This is our largest fundraising activity.

• We need volunteers for various jobs from taking orders at the front window to food preparation in the back. 

• Great way for students to earn volunteer hours.

Marching Band Football Game Crew 

Be a part of the show! For every Home/Away football game, we need volunteers to help with tasks which typically include:

• Meet truck at stadium to help unload instruments and equipment.

• Distribute plums prior to pre-game.

• (Home Games) For the National Anthem, move scaffold to the 10 yard line closest to the flag for the band director to use. (move onto field once the band starts to march onto the field). Remove when over.

• Move scaffolds / equipment to the sideline for half time show. 

• Hold field commander's instruments during march-on

• Collect plums after the half time show

• 4th Qtr and after the game, put instruments and equipment back on the truck.

Marching Band TRUCK load/unload for Football Game

For every he/away football game, we need volunteers to help with tasks which typically include:

• Prepare water jug cart used at the game.

• Load 3rd Qtr snacks (Home games)

• Load instruments / water cart/ drumline cart

• Load speaker/audio set

• Load plumes

• Unload all items after the game back at the High School
  
  

This is a great way to help if you already dropping or picking up your student for a game!

Tux Jackets

• Help Distribute and Put Away Tux Jackets at concerts

Jingle Mingle

(Typically Held in December)

• Baskets are donated / created and given away in raffle. 

• 50/50 raffle ticket sales 

Vendor Bingo 

(Typically Held in January)

• Vendors provide prizes that bingo players can win

• Tickets good for 15 bingo games

• ABOB members can help by planning the event, getting vendors and overall promotion and of course participate in Vendor Bingo!
