The Avon Band & Orchestra Boosters (ABOB) was established in 1995 with the purpose to support the Directors, Advisors and Assistants of Avon School District’s Band and Orchestra music programs in grades 6-12 to promote creative musical activity among the students.
Welcome back to the Concession Stand's Spring Season *aka* Track Concessions *aka* Avon Concession LITE *aka* It's been a loooong winter so let's hang out and make some money!!
For those who haven't helped during Track season, we will run the stand for 6 meets. It's less busy than a Varsity Football game, but there is consistent traffic. It's a great time for Marching Band students to help since they perform at Football Games in the fall. Remember, time at the stand counts as volunteer hours for students!! If you are a track parent, you can volunteer at the stand but leave for a moment to watch your kid compete!
The last two meets (Apr 30 and May 1st) will be the biggest and busiest- you'll see I've split those evenings into shifts because of the potential that they could go late!

On April 18th from 10 AM to 4 PM at AMS, we're having our first-ever ABOB Mattress Fundraiser. There will be more than 25 mattress styles on display and all sizes are available for purchase. Students have been learning about this at school including the fantastic student incentives (Amazon gift cards). If you have been considering a new mattress or know anyone who is, please attend this awesome event!
Elections for ABOB Board positions will take place in May. Volunteering as a board member is a meaningful way to contribute to our Booster organization. If you would like to be considered for a board position or would like to nominate someone else, reply to this email and we will be in touch.
High school students who are attending the Spring Break trip to Disney are busy rehearsing for their performances. It promises to be an exciting trip!
